CHUKKALLO CHANDRUDU

This is siddharth's first script as a movie maker. Though not as a director,He is the screenplay and story writer of this movie. The movie is penned with family crowd as its target audience and also seasoned with spice to enhance the movie's commercial value(think its getting sorta TVish).
After years of tutelage under maniratnam, He has come up with a decent effort(atleast for a telugu movie)..The director sivakumar is also from the maniratnam school. But the movie is not even comparable to the worst of maniratnam flicks, but its still early days for botha them. Siddharth, inspite of being a Tamil guy prefers to test his script in telugu rather than his mother tongue,now thats unusual..I feel,he was confident in making a movie in a language where even the worst of films get wide reception(probably after nuvvosthavante nennodantaana,his debut telugu movie as lead actor)

This movie is also of the same genre. Siddharth plays Arjun,an NRI(like nuvvosthavante,Hit formula)..he promises his grandpa(played by Akkineni Nageswara rao) that he s gonna marry one of his 3 childhood sweethearts in India.(played by saloni,charmee and sada)..
In order to pick the first among equals,he(without identifying himself) puts them under various tests.Saloni plays a Sania Mirza typfcharacter,while Charmee's a feminist and Sada,a sober li'l gal with a sad past..Finally siddharth picks out the Moon of the 3 stars(the title's translation). Prabhudeva and waheeda rahman play cameos..

But there is also the usual family senti , coupla item nos.(with the cast in traditional telugu dresses!!! I v watched a lotta telugu movie and none f them come without these)..But overall, its very good for a telugu movie..
