L.A. Confidential

L.A confidential tells the story of LAPD in the 1950s, and police corruption bumping up against Hollywood celebrity fame. It is based on a novel of same name written by James Ellroy..

The cast includes big names like Russell Crowe, Kevin Spacey(My fav.) , Guy Pearce(of 'memento' fame) , James Cromwell and Kim Bassinger. All the lead and supporting actors have done justice to their characters, thus earning 10 oscar nominations(including 2 wins).

Russell Crowe(Bud White) , a tough cop whose temper often overpowers his thought.
Kevin Spacey(Jack vicennes),A celebrity cop who is tech advisor for a TV police show and he s a sorta slick hollywood cop.
Guy Pearce(Ed Exley) is an ambitious careerist who wants to do everything by the book.
Hated by his colleagues.

These 3 people come together to solve a Homicide case at a L.A cafe..The case turns out to be much more complicated than it seems to be..as Organised Crime continue on the streets on L.A.
The homicide case in turn unravels Drugs, Pornography, Prostitution and a hell lot more of shit that surrounded the 50's L.A...

Kim Bassinger plays a Hooker(a veronica Lake look-alike hooker),She does justice to the role(Won best supporting actress oscar for it)..

Though its a regular masala kinda story,the screenplay coupled with some great acting has made this a very entertaining flick.(I think this story would make a great tamil movie with a fabulous cast)
